Imogene S. I took a chance on this low-cost replacement option. The water flow is a very weak flow, almost a dribble with the new water filter. The flow was much better before I replaced the water filter. Yes, I let the air bubbles work their way through the system and let the water flow for 3 minutes to clear out the carbon. It seemed to be an "ok" flow with patience engaged to wait to fill the glass with water. Then today, the water flow is again a dribble. I turned the ice icon to "off", removed the water filter; replaced the water filter and turned the ice icon to "on". It continues to be a very slow water flow. If this is not the fault of the new water filter, then I do not know what the problem is. I also note that the water filter cartridge is shorter than the original frigidaire water filter. Does this mean a shorter life span?
