3M replacement filter is labelled 'Not for residential use', and has different performancespecs!

The 3M fridge filter we received to replace the Bosch filter differed significantly in packaging and labelling from the one shown in the photo. Though it is an exact physical match, the label is generic, and the claims about what it is capable of removing are not as extensive as the claims on our previous filter (e.g., the new filter does not remove heavy metals, etc., whereas the old one did). We therefore suspect that the generic replacement we received is of lesser quality. More concerning is the fact that the filter is labelled 'Not for residential use'.
